Why have Windows functions, like Shutdown, been disabled ?

InTouch, with help from our scripting, changes the security setup by modifying the registry. By power cycling the PC while it is secured then various menu options will be greyed out.This includes "Shutdown", "Task Manager", "Log Off", "Change Password" and "Lock Workstation".

 

One solution is to start InTouch (Operations Viewer) and shut it down correctly. This would require the security to be set up so that the user can login and task switch to initiate the shutdown.

The other is to fix the registry using a .reg file (attached).
