This CD contains EurothermSuite 4.5. Please note that this CD does NOT contain InTouch, iTools or Review software. This CD is designed to operate with Intellution FIX32, iFIX 3.5 (and 4.0) and Wonderware InTouch 9.5. The CD is now also supplied in a Tactician Edition form that will install without asking the user for a product type and driver option.
New features
LIN Blocks
The following LIN blocks have been added to T2550. Support for these blocks is provided in EurothermSuite.
LINTools
Updates to LINTools include:
- New template libraries for new instruments versions.
- New data recording configuration tool.
- Instrument options editor suppports data recording features.
LINOPC
Support for LIN Protocol 5, new field types WideString and ByteSequence.
Problems Fixed
LINOPC
- lin:#18062 NTSE crashes occasionally when polling through T225’s due to taking too long to poll instruments without reporting back to linsrv32.
- lin:#18079 NTSE writes to cached blocks crashed the NTSE when they were not invoked by PCL, such as SFC sequences writing.
- lin:#18012 Enabling TimeSync caused writing to static string memory.
Tag Profiler
- Allow negative ranges to be entered..
Project Organiser
- projectdb:#17193 – Bridge crashes when launched by Project Organiser.
- projectdb:#17116 – Computer Properties path fails to update when computer name is changed.
iFix/FIX Driver
- An internal alarm buffer was sized at 1000 LINDIT blocks. On large systems with total comms failure this could overflow the buffer and alarm changes would be lost. Buffer now sized at 8000.
- On iFix systems alarms for anything other than blocks on device 1 of card 1 were not being submitted with the correct handle. This could lead to failure of alarm acknowledgement. The alarm summary display seems to have a mechanism for correcting the handle so that sometimes alarm acknowledge would work correctly.
I/O Manager
- projectb:#17264 – Correction to problem where adding a long tag and then renaming the block from I/O manager caused the tag to be renamed (erroneously).
Tag Edit
- projectdb:#17015 allows fields to display correctly on multiple tabs.
LINTools
- Lintools:#1570 – Print oddities
- Lintools:#1617 – Printing doesn’t appear to work correctly
- Lintools:#16985 – LINtools installer should not install PlantSol.exe
- Lintools:#17196 – OLR ** and cached blocks do not play well together
- Lintools:#17264 – Don’t Undo if change task fails
- Lintools:#17265 – Can’t drag-drop copy unnamed blocks between LINtools instances
- Lintools:#17267 – Small bugfix in CLTDbfDoc::DeleteBlock; mis-sized arrays
- Lintools:#17280 – Wrongly sized buffers for block name strings
- Lintools:#17281 – UsfServer project not building IDD_OPCWAIT_DIALOG correctly
- Lintools:#17286 – FBD EditBuild fails to redisplay the currently selected blocks properties
- Lintools:#17299 – When going from OLR to ONLINE mode block data may end up showing wrong values
- Lintools:#17313 – Update Object Properties when views activated
- Lintools:#17338 – Crash/odd behaviour when doing “Save As” on a new file
- Lintools:#17357 – Blocks with ** in name created during Online Reconfig show as changed after Apply
- Lintools:#17368 – LINtools asks for Port and Node when opening a file not in instrument folder
- Lintools:#17375 – Resolve clashing resource IDs
Known Issues at release time
Enabling Security after Deployment
If the security is enabled via Security Manager and the security database and project database are locked at the same time then deploying the changes causes all the remote stations to be locked out. The workaround for this is to delete the project and security databases from the remote stations and to re-deploy. Subsequent deployments will be OK.
Talkthrough with serial MODBUS Data Provider
To enable talkthrough with a SERIAL Modbus NTSE (DataProvider) there is now a requirement to include a single GW_CON block in the NTSE database. It can be found in the EyCon libraries, under “Comms”, and the block can be given any name and does not need to be configured.
Data Providers and MODBUS TCP
From EurothermSuite 4.4 the NTSE expects _system.uxm when running on a Modbus TCP port. This was previously ntse.uxm. The build of a project will automatically rename ntse.uxm to _system.uxm but otherwise the rename will need to be carried out manually.
System Checking Tool & DCOM
The system checking tool can crash when checking DCOM setup. This is particularly the case if not running an English version of the operating system.
Using MODBUS tools with a T800
If the TCP Properties for the T800 are edited using the MODBUS Tools TCP Properties dialog, the user should ensure that the Instr. Nr. is explicitly specified otherwise it will be reported as an invalid Instr. Nr.
Large Icons in Windows XP
There can be a problem with the icons being incorrectly displayed in the Application Toolbar in Project Organiser. The problem is caused buy the user having “Use large icons” checked in their display properties. To work around the problem open the display properties and select the “Appearance” tab then click the “Effects…” button. The Effects dialog will be displayed. Uncheck the “Use large icons” check box to correctly display the tools in Project Organiser. Please note that this setting will need to be changed for each user on the PC.
T560 Installation
In the T560 CD pack there is an iFIX LIN driver CD. The latest iFIX /FIX32 LIN driver is now contained on the EurothermSuite CD so that the separate driver CD is not required if the EurothermSuite CD has been used to install T560. If the iFIX LIN driver CD has been used already it can be upgraded to the latest version by installing the EurothermSuite CD.
