New features
Project Organiser
Tools – more tools are available than in the previous version. They can now be launched using the application toolbar or from the right-click context menu which now has a tools sub-menu.
Wonderware build – for projects that include Operations Viewer there are specific configuration changes, mostly involving trend tags, which require the application to be modified. This modification takes place at project build time but rather than doing this (time consuming) build after every single change to the trend configuration there is a new icon (a trowel) which changes from green to red to flag that the build is required. When all the configuration changes have been made the user can click the icon to launch the build.
Access names – InTouch access names can be edited and added from the “Computers” property page.
Property pages – now have built-in context dependent help windows.
The application toolbar always shows New (depending upon context) as the first tool icon .
New views that allow the allocation of tags to trends.
I/O Manager
I/O Manager now supports the configuration of T2550 instruments. Security Manager
The first time a configuration is started in Security Manager a default configuration is created rather than presenting the user with a blank configuration. Although this may not match the user requirement exactly it will always be easier to modify the configuration rather than having to create a new one.
Template Support
New logic blocks in CtrlMd51 library set DT_COMPARE, OR16, AND16, BITWISE_OR16, BITWISE_AND16, BITWISE_XOR16.

LINOPC
-
Retry write request if one or many of the items are rejected due to stale cache reference or unavailability of current value.
-
Fast multiple unconfirmed writes in conjunction with asynchronous request initiation. i.e. faster writes.
-
Secondary cache to improve responsiveness of displays. This can be configured using LINOPC.INI as follows:
[SecCache] HeldBlockTime=1+ <cache time in seconds> e.g. HeldBlockTime=0 then secondary cache feature is disabled. HeldBlockTime=1 then secondary cache time is infinite. HeldBlockTime=3601 then secondary cache is 1 hour.Default HeldBlockTime is 8 hours. The time is for how long a slower connection to a LIN block is held pending data from the block being shown on a display. If the time expires then the connection to the LIN block is dropped. Exceeding license can cause the same effect.
LINtools
File menu | Open in New Window… - allows user to easily open another file to drag-drop or copy-paste. Save new strategy, create new folder will fill in Wizard with known info (dbname, etc). Modbus Editor - support for Eycon-10 v1.3, Eycon-20 v1.3, T2550 v2.1, T820 v2.1 and T800 v5.5. Instrument and Network Options Editor – user interface and robustness improvements. Tactician Licence Wizard – improvements for upgrading multiple licences and to prevent errors when selecting the new licence level.

Large Icons in Windows XP
There can be a problem with the icons being incorrectly displayed in the Application Toolbar in Project Organiser. The problem is caused buy the user having “Use large icons” checked in their display properties. To work around the problem open the display properties and select the “Appearance” tab then click the “Effects…” button. The Effects dialog will be displayed. Uncheck the “Use large icons” check box to correctly display the tools in Project Organiser. Please note that this setting will need to be changed for each user on the PC.
T560 Installation
In the T560 CD pack there is an iFIX LIN driver CD. The latest iFIX /FIX32 LIN driver is now contained on the EurothermSuite CD so that the separate driver CD is not required if the EurothermSuite CD has been used to install T560. If the iFIX LIN driver CD has been used already it can be upgraded to the latest version by installing the EurothermSuite CD.
