Why did I not get all the project wizards after installing Information Manager ?

There is a bug in the registration code for some of the wizards that only appears when Information Manager is installed. The bug causes the following wizards to be absent from the list of available wizards:

 

  • Plant Solution with Operations
  • Enterprise Solution
  • Modbus I/O with Operations...

In order to fix this you will need to edit the registry and re-register an executable. So be careful.

 

  • Run regedit and modify the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Eurotherm\Suite\Code to be 1243 (decimal) instead of 1234.
  • Re-register \Program Files\Eurotherm\PSW\FactorySuite.exe by running it with the /regserver command.
  • Restore the registry key to 1234.
